Bryan Arnold has been struggling with Synovial Sarcoma since May 2006. This is a video to celebrate his Life!! Here is his story!! BryansFight www.carepages.com My name is Bryan Arnold. I am 34 years old, married and have two wonderful children. In May of 2006, I began having pain in my upper thigh/groin area. I saw my family physician and began treatment for a pulled groin muscle. Over the next year and a half I saw my physician occasionally and even did some physical therapy. Nothing would improve my “pulled muscle.” In June of 2007, I went in to the doctor on an unrelated matter and asked him to look at my thigh while I was there. He felt of my thigh and said he’d be right back. When he returned, he had the physical therapist with him and they suggested having an MRI because it felt as if I had a torn hamstring. I was very unprepared for what the MRI showed. The following Monday, I received a phone call from the doctor. He told me that I had a large tumor in my thigh and should see an orthopedic surgeon ASAP. A week later I was in the office of a Surgical Oncologist who biopsied the tumor and gave us the diagnosis of Ewings Sarcoma. He referred us to MD Anderson Smile Cancer Center for further evaluation and treatment. In July of 2007, we saw the oncologist in the Sarcoma center at MDACC and began chemotherapy the very next day. At first, they were treating me as if I had Ewings Sarcoma, but when their lab had finished reviewing the slides the official diagnosis was …
